Kay is the founder of the non-profit organization called The Angel Foundation which has grown to become one of the most successful angel investing organizations in the country.
To date, Do Good Angels has invested over $50 million into over 100 companies that are helping America's youth stay out of trouble and into college scholarships. Kay is also passionate about women's empowerment and women's education. She has become an advocate for education for women around the world through her online Social Networking site called Women's Education .
Kay also serves as a panelist on the PBS show Family Business where she provides advice to entrepreneurs on how to grow their businesses without losing their families.
Kay is married to retired major league baseball player Rick Simone who played for seven seasons with the Seattle Mariners (1987-93) and San Francisco Giants (1994). They have two sons who are also aspiring writers: Brian Simone (author of I’m OK; It’s Not You), and Zachary Simone (author of Heart Attack).
